Ozone Day observed at RIS - The News International

Islamabad: International Day of Ozone Preservation was celebrated in all branches of Roots International School (RIS) on Tuesday.

 

Students spoke about the steps taken by the international governments on the preservation of ozone layer, which is an important part of the atmosphere and helps us.

 

Primary students were told what an ozone layer is and the importance of ozone layer in the atmosphere, how it protects us from the harmful rays of sun. The formation and circumstances of destruction of its molecules were taught through charts and posters.

 

Students were encouraged to participate in discussions about ozone layer and how it is quickly leading to the depletion.

 

The roles of pollution, perfumes, deodorants and chloro-floro carbons in its depletion and were encouraged to reduce the usage to help in ozone preservation.
