KOHIMA: The plenary session-II of the ongoing Sustainable Mountain Development Summit-III, hosted by Nagaland and held in Kohima, was held. The session included thematic addresses by various eminent resource persons. Tej Pratap, vice-chancellor of Sher-E-Kashmir Agriculture and Technology University in Kashmir, opened the thematic address session. He highlighted the issues that plague the 11 mountain states with a population of 3.9 crore people due to shrinking and fragmenting of cropland, forest laws and defence-imposed inaccess ibility to land and forest resources.
