Novel Technique to find new Planets under making

An international team of exoplanet hunters has been carrying out a project in which they are developing an instrument that will make search of new planets easier.

The project, which is funded by NASA, is working on developing such a technique that will reduce the odds to find planets that can support life. Researchers were of the view that sometimes, faint dust clouds covers the other stars.

This act makes it a bit more difficult to find new planets. It is now being expected that with the use of the novel technology, the search of the new planets will get a bit easier.

"Current technology allows us to detect only the brightest clouds, those that are a few thousand times brighter than the one in our solar system", said Denis Defrere, from Department of astronomy and instrument scientist of the Large Binocular Telescope Interferometer (LBTI) at the University of Arizona.

Denis explained that bright clouds do not pose any problem in finding new planets. Sometimes, they pose such level of shininess that it's quite difficult to find new planets. This is the reason they have been developing the new technique, which will help in finding fainter clouds. Hence, detection of new planets will get easier.
